Autumn 2020 Visitors Policy
From September 2020, in light of the Coronavirus pandemic, Meadlands has altered its visitors policy and protocol to minimise additional adults on site and to minimise the potential risks associated with Covid-19.
- Parent meetings will no longer be held onsite and face-to-face, unless relating to safeguarding or in very rare circumstances at the discretion of the Head teacher. In such circumstances, parents will be invited to meet the relevant staff member in the school hall - where social distancing is possible - entering via the hall doors.
- NHS therapists, private therapists (for example play therapists) and Educational Psychologists, who would ordinarily work closely with children on the SEND register, are still able to arrange visits and meetings on site by contacting the school's SENCO. They will work from the music factory building, separate from the main school building.
- Contractors that need to access the school site, for example for maintenance work, will be allowed on site as normal, under the supervision of the Premises Office or member of the office team.
- A reduced number of our peripatetic teaching team will be allowed on site as normal in order to deliver curriculum lessons.
All visitors must read the following documents ahead of visiting the site. On arrival, they will be asked to sign a declaration to state they have done so and are in agreement with all policies and procedures. We thank all visitors for their cooperation and support at this unusual time.
