At Meadlands, we understand how important it is for parents, carers and children to understand the impacts of excessive screen time on our mental health and all areas of our lives. This was recognised as a real issue at our school and for young people in general. 

Mrs Wreford and Mrs Barson are trained facilitators of the Device Wise Reduction Programme which we run termly to support families.

We hold a Disconnect to Reconnect Week twice a year at Meadlands. During these weeks, PSHE lessons and assemblies focus on teaching the children to understand their own screen time habits and to "take control". Children have coined the phrase: "Look Up, Take Control".
