Autumn term 2016 Grounds Day was yet another hit. Held on 10 October the sun shone, even if it was a bit nippy, and the children had a ball.
On Wednesday 7 October we held our annual autumn grounds day - and what a wonderful day it was! The weather held off and the children had a fabulous time outside caring for, and exploring our award winning grounds. We celebrated national 'no pens day' by learning outside, setting up science experiments that we will observe over time, planting, gardening and painting! Some of the children took part in seasonal cooking, making apple flapjacks from the apples in The Dell, and others spent time caring for the chickens, and making habitats for some of the wildlife that we share our school with. Every child in the school, from Nursery to year 6 planted a daffodil near our new tree house, that we cant wait to see bloom in the spring. Thank you so much to all the parents that came to help us on the day, and to those who donated £1 or a plant!
